Common Questions People Searched

What does “Track This Case” actually do?

Track This Case sends you updates when something changes in your case. You’ll get an email, and you can also choose to get text alerts. These messages tell you when new docket entries are added, when court dates are coming up, or when a payment is due.

Why didn’t I get a verification email or text?

If you’re already tracking the case, the system won’t send you a second verification message. You also won’t get a text if your phone number or carrier is entered incorrectly. Make sure your email is valid and check your spam folder.

Can I still get alerts if a case becomes private?

No. If the court marks a case as confidential or sealed, the system stops all notifications. You won’t get emails or texts for that case anymore.

What do I do if I typed something wrong during signup?

If your email or phone details are wrong, the system will show an error in red and won’t let you continue. Just fix the incorrect information and try again. For logged-in users, you may need to update your email in your Case.net account first.

How can I stop tracking a case later?

You can stop tracking anytime. The email you receive includes a link to stop alerts for one case or all cases. If you get text messages, each message also gives you an option to turn off text alerts.
