Judgment Index Search

Judgment Index Search helps users search a litigant’s name to find a summary of judgments entered against that litigant in Case.net. A judgment is the court’s official decision or determination on issues in a court proceeding. Effective January 1, 2012, Court Operating Rule 2 allows a public Judgment Index Search in Case.net. This page explains how Judgment Index Search works, what each field means, how to narrow results, and what the links on the results page open.

What is Judgment Index Search?

Judgment Index Search is a public Casenet MO search that lets a user search a litigant’s name to find the judgment summary entered against that litigant. Viewing Transcript Judgments

Transcript judgments can appear in search results depending on where the judgment is transcribed.

Judgment transcribed within the county of original judgment

A user searches on the litigant’s name and a case (or cases) appears. In this situation, the judgment is transcribed in the same county, court location, and case as the original judgment.

Judgment transcribed in a different county within the same judicial circuit

A user searches on the litigant’s name and cases appear. In this situation, the judgment is entered in one county, but the Transcript Judgment is filed in a different county within the same judicial circuit.

Judgment transcribed in a different judicial circuit

A user searches on the litigant’s name and cases appear. In this situation, the judgment is entered in one county/circuit, but the judgment is transcribed in a different judicial circuit.
